Make Maximum Cash on Ebay-- the 5 Steps Newbies Must Know
So you want to make money on eBay. Smart thinking, since there are millions of buyers globally that are eager to buy what you have. It takes minimal effort and can have large rewards. Do these 5 steps if you want to start really making money.
1 Have the "magic" feedback number
Feedback is important to buyers on eBay. It's how they take you seriously. There is a magic number you must have in order to be successful. It isn't that high or unattainable for a newbie. But you must have it in order to play into the eBay "psychology." The good news is it's easy to reach and there are ways to get there quickly.
Of course your feedback will rise over time and you'll gain even more credibility. But if you are below the magic number when you start selling then buyers will ignore you.
Two- Have the right shipping offer
Nearly all newbies make this mistake. You have a couple options with your shipping and doing it right will make your items more attractive and increase your profits. Even something as simple as shipping prices matter when it comes to pleasing eBay buyers.
Secondly, never hide the shipping information. Some sellers do this and are hated for it. Buyers remember you as "that seller." Be clear and you will be trusted.
3- Avoid the default title
When listing an item that has a UPC or barcode, eBay generates an automatic title for you, and most newbies will leave it at that. Big mistake. How your title looks and what it says is incredibly important to succeeding. At the very least change the title to one of your own and remove all numbers and punctuation. Alternate between caps and lower case to stand out.
4 Always have a picture of the item
This is so simple and yet somehow people still miss it. You must have a picture of your item . And sometimes eBay will provide it. If it's a common item with a UPC or barcode eBay will include a stock photo for you. Simple as that. Some people will tell you to take your own pictures, but in this case a stock photo is fine. I've sold thousands of items with stock photos and no once complains. And you don't need to have a million photos either, especially for common items. If you have a one of a kind item, the of course take a bunch of photos, otherwise one or two is plenty.
5. Don't leave a blank slate
Don't just have a title and shipping info and then walk away. Write something within the listing description. Now, don't write a novel that nobody is going to bother to read anyway. But do include something in this area, even if it is summarizing what has already been said. A nice short and to the point description is better than several paragraphs. Usually a sentence or two will suffice.
These are the five critical steps to know to succeed on eBay that no one will ever tell you. Understand these steps and start making a profit on eBay.
