Making Money on Ebay is Still Easy Despite All the Policy Changes
I've been on eBay longer than most people have known about it and I have seen a ton of changes. But they haven't really affected what I do or how much I make. my bottom line has just continued to increase over the years. I signed up and started buying in 1997 and began selling full time in 1998. This was before eBay was part of the common language and before most people realized you could make a living on it. 11 years is a long time in the real world, let alone the computer and internet world, so you imagine the changes I've seen on eBay.
But it's not really about eBay's changes, it's about consistency as a seller. What to sell, where to find it and how to list it.
The key is not just finding things that have value to resell; the key is to do it over and over and over and to maximize the item for the most profit. With constant changes from eBay-fee increases, policy changes, etc.-my bottom line has only gone up. I know how to make eBay listing "pop" and get maximum dollars.
[eBay Fun Fact: eBay is eliminating money orders and checks as a payment method beginning in October]
Knowing something has value is one thing, but knowing how to get the most profit out of the item is much more important.
And believe me, I know first hand. There was a time when even I struggled to get the profit. In the beginning there was disaster after disaster, and miscalculation after miscalculation. But then there were the stunning victories. Seeing as this was my main source of income I had to keep my focus in the game. I learned techniques and strategies that worked time and time again- it was so easy that it made me laugh. But it took a bit of time. After many trials I perfected a system that is foolproof and a money maker like no other.
Now, I am a lazy guy. I probably should've put that out there first. I don't like to work, and in fact, it's a danger to my health. That was how I got to where I am.
I was born with Cystic Fibrosis, a lung disease that should have killed me. Doctors told my parents not to expect me to live past the age of seven (Yikes). Full time work was not an option, at least not without frequent and long visits to the hospital. So when you can't pay the bills since you can't work the hours and the option of living with Mom for the rest of your life was well, not an option. I panicked.
Yup, I started selling everything I had in my apartment after my roommate moved out. I mean everything. And surprisingly enough, what I thought was worth money was... worthless. And the things I nearly threw in the garbage, were more profitable than I imagined. Not thousands of dollars or anything crazy, but it all added up quite nicely. I began to notice a pattern with these items and found that they were everywhere. People were passing them up all the time. In places everywhere...often in their own house, right under their noses.
This was great. It took hardly any time for me to find them, buy them and list them. I started getting a consistent profit.
It's a secret I have kept for years. Friends and family have always pushed me to say what I do and how I do it. They have always wondered how a lazy guy like me can make money and have every day be like a Saturday.
I've been holding on to my incredible method for years, but no matter where I go (even right where here where I live) there simply is too much stuff. There is imply too much of it out there for me to do it alone. Although I wish I could.
[eBay Fun Fact: Everyone knows about the new feedback. Sellers can't leave "negatives" for buyers anymore, only positive...Buyers can leave all 3 types-positive, negative and neutral. But did you know that "neutrals" count as negatives toward seller's feedback?]
I sell online every single day, and no matter the economy, no matter what the trend, I am always profitable without any hassles. I look around from time to time and see other experienced sellers making some of the mistakes I used to and it makes me cringe. They could be making so much more money and without the hassle they put inadvertently create.
It's easy and anyone can do it-make extra income on eBay. And the best part is you can do it on your own time. You can make up your own hours, relax on the sofa and earn an income. You can earn extra money while you sleep. You can sit back and follow the proven steps that are out there.
In spite of all the changes, in spite of the economy eBay is still one of the easiest, low risk and fastest ways to make extra money.
